In this class you will have a great time as you learn how taste wine. The methods are those used by wine professionals to determine if a wine is suitable to pair with various menu items in addition to being a good value. The skills learned in this class will enable to you confidently evaluate wines you wish to buy, You will learn about the grape varieties used in the major wine making regions of the world and how to recognize them by aroma and taste as well as which are suitable for long term aging versus early consumption. After completing this class, you should be able to navigate restaurant wine lists and retail wine shelves with the confidence to make informed purchases. Course fee includes wines used in tasting.
Materials: Bring two wine classes and a water bottle. Wine classes should have stems and be commercial grade.
Class limited to 20 students.
