ART: BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION USING WATERCOLOR
This introduction to painting and illustrating plants and flowers using watercolor will give you insights into color theory, light, and a variety of useful painting techniques. In addition, we will explore plant anatomy and plant structure for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the botanical world. All levels of experience are welcome. No prior art or science experience is necessary.

Paper: Small pad of tracing paper, Watercolor Paper 9 X 12 pad or block of Arches 140lb Cold press watercolor paper. (The pad is less expensive than the block.)

Graphite pencils: 4H and HB graphite artists pencil. Good pencil sharper.
Eraser: Kneaded or white soft eraser
Tape: Blue painter’s tape (optional)
