About our classes

Most classes are offered in-person at various locations throughout Bakersfield; some are offered online via Zoom, a video-conferencing platform enabling those living outside Bakersfield to take our classes!

Online Classes

Online classes come to you in the privacy of your own home. You need at least a phone, and you will have the ability to "see" your instructor and fellow students if you have a device with a camera (a computer, tablet, or smart phone).

Never taken a class on-line before?

Do not despair, it’s easy.

  1. Start with this Zoom training.
  2. Click "How to Join a Meeting"
  3. Watch the video that will guide you step-by-step instructions on how to use Zoom.

This training is designed to help you access and participate comfortably in any of our courses being offered on-line. If you take a class offered on Zoom, your Levan Institute instructor will email you a Zoom link before the first class.

In-person Classes

If your in-person class is offered at a non-KCCD facility, you must consult and follow that facility's health (including Covid-19) protocols.

All classes are first come, first served.

Registering for Classes

  1. Create a Levan Institute Student Account on the Levan Institute Login Page under New Customers. If you already have an account, simply login.
  2. Find the class you wish to take from the list of classes found in the class schedule (view all), on the side menu when viewing on a computer, or the hamburger menu when viewing on a phone.
  3. Click on the “Register Now” button to sign up.
